Livestock farmer - cattle farming (Agrar GmbH Saalfelder Höhe)

For the 2026 training year, we are looking for trainees (m/f) who are interested in animal breeding and animal husbandry. Just the thing for anyone who enjoys working with large farm animals!

The training is geared towards acquiring the following knowledge and skills:

- Appropriate care, maintenance and transport of farm animals
- Physique, life processes and behaviour of farm animals
- Animal health and hygiene, reproduction, breeding, heredity and breed science
- Feedstuffs, their production, Procurement and use
- Forms of livestock farming as well as structural and technical facilities
- Determining the performance of livestock
- Producing marketable products
- Use, care and maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of operational interrelationships
- Occupational safety and accident prevention as well as environmental protection.

The apprenticeship lasts 3 years and is completed in the dual system. The vocational school is located in Schwerstedt near Weimar.

After successful completion, we offer you long-term prospects in a well-positioned medium-sized company.

An internship is possible by arrangement.
