Farmer (Agrargenossenschaft "Drei Eichen" eG)

Our co-operative was founded in 1991. The main areas of production are milk production and the market production of grain and oilseeds. We keep approx. 230 cows and approx. 250 calves and young cattle for breeding at our dairy farm in Korbußen. Every day, approx. 6000 litres of milk are delivered to the Altenburger Land cheese dairy in Hartha (approx. 10 km from us). We farm approx. 820 hectares of arable land and 6 hectares of grassland. The land is located around our farm headquarters. All the grain is stored in two grain sheds for harvesting.

We have been a training company since 1997 and are looking for a trainee farmer (m|w|d) again for 2026.

What can you expect as a farmer?

- The tasks of farmers include producing plant and animal products and marketing them. Possible areas of work in our company include arable farming, especially fodder cultivation, cereal cultivation, rapeseed and root crop cultivation, grassland utilisation and cattle farming.
- Farmers operate, monitor and maintain machinery, equipment and agricultural vehicles. Depending on the season, they cultivate the soil, select seeds, fertilise, protect and care for plants. After the harvest, they store or preserve their produce or market it directly.
- In animal husbandry, they feed, water and care for farm animals and clean stables.
- They also carry out repair work.

The practical part of the 3-year training programme takes place in Korbußen and the school-based part in Schwerstedt near Weimar. Accommodation is provided here at the boarding school.

- A secondary school leaving certificate
- Applicants from the Korbußen area
- Previously completed work experience with us
- Willingness to obtain a class T driving licence
