Livestock farmer - cattle farming (Friesau eG agricultural co-operative)

We are again looking for trainees to start their training as animal farmers (m|w|d) in 2026.

Animal farmers specialising in cattle husbandry keep and care for breeding, dairy and slaughter cattle. They operate automatic feeding and ventilation systems, store feed and clean the stables. In cattle breeding, they select suitable breeding animals, care for pregnant cows, monitor the birth, look after the dams and rear the calves and young cattle. They feed the animals according to their needs, monitor their health and ensure that fattening targets are met. If cattle are sick, they care for the sick animals according to medical instructions. They closely monitor the development of the livestock and document the breeding and fattening results.

Personal requirements:

- Interest in agriculture and especially in handling animals
- We are particularly interested in applicants from the Bad Lobenstein and Schleiz region

The vocational school is in Schwerstedt. Supplementary courses organised by the East Thuringian training association are part of the training programme.
Working hours, remuneration and special payments are standard for the industry.
