About us

We are the largest perennial nursery in Bavaria, based in the World Heritage city of Bamberg. Our young, bright and knowledgeable team cultivates, commissions and sells around 2850 different perennials, grasses, aquatic plants, ferns, herbs and ground cover plants on 10 hectares.

We have been cultivating perennials, grasses, ferns, aquatic plants and ground cover plants since 1990. Our extensive range offers every garden lover the perfect selection. Every plant that leaves our company passes through attentive and careful hands. This allows us to guarantee the best quality.

For the 2027 training year, we are offering places for training as a gardener-perennial nursery (m/f/d).

However, it is possible to start training at almost any time.

In the training company, you will learn how to:

- Compose and use soils and substrates
- Determine plants, assess their quality and use plant catalogues and cultivation instructions
- Use plant catalogues and cultivation instructions
- Use the plant catalogue. Use plant catalogues and cultivation instructions
- care for, use and maintain machines, equipment, tools and structural facilities
- identify damage to plants and carry out plant protection measures
- propagate perennials vegetatively, in particular by division, cuttings and root cuttings
- cultivate and package perennials until they are ready for sale
- present and sell perennials in a way that promotes sales
- advise customers on the use and care of perennials
- use technical equipment and devices, in particular for heating, ventilation, shading, darkening, watering and fertilising
- and what needs to be observed when harvesting and using plants and plant products

In addition, knowledge about topics such as rights and obligations during training, organisation of the training company and environmental protection is taught throughout the training.

At vocational school, you will acquire further knowledge:

- In areas specific to the profession (e.g. Plants and their use)
- In general subjects such as German and economics and social studies

Prerequisites:

- Reliability, ability to work in a team, willingness to learn
- For us, school grades are not the most important thing
