Dairy technologist (Bayernland eG)
Offer description
The apprenticeship lasts 3 years. Depending on previous education and performance, the duration of training can be shortened.
The main areas of training are:
- Production processes and recipes for dairy products such as yoghurt, butter and cheese
- Checking the quantity and quality of the raw milk supplied
- Heating and cleaning the milk by centrifuging, homogenising, etc.
- Cooling and storing the milk (products)
- Operating, monitoring and cleaning production and filling systems
- Ongoing quality control of the milk (products), documenting the results
- Assessing laboratory results, complying with hygiene regulations
We expect applicants to have the following skills
- At least a good qualifying secondary school leaving certificate
- Technical understanding
- Strong awareness of hygiene
- Diligence and reliability
- Ability to work in a team
We offer varied training by experienced trainers with good prospects for your professional career as well as your own work clothes including a cleaning service.

Prospects and further training: Master dairyman, dairy technician, industrial foreman specialising in food, university studies.

Vocational school: in Kempten (block school lessons)
Apprenticeship pay (from November 2024):
1st year of training €1,369.00
2nd year of training €1,508.00. Training year €1,508.00
3rd training year €1,675.00
