WELCOME YOUNG TRAINEES! At our site in Mühlacker, we are involved in the extensive maintenance and planting of public and private GREEN spaces. We build liveable green-blue cities of the future, thus preserving our climate-resilient and biodiverse sponge cities and promoting GREEN.

With more well-tended parks and green spaces, we as landscape gardeners (m/f/d) actively contribute to overcoming the consequences of climate change. Our daily work is both responsible and systemically relevant and helps to limit the rise in temperatures in our cities. In your training as a landscape gardener (m/f/d), we will take you on a journey:

You will familiarise yourself with the processes required for planting and maintaining green habitats such as private green spaces and parks in urban green spaces. With experienced foremen, you will familiarise yourself with construction processes to transform our living spaces into sustainable cities of the future. You will be involved in all individual project steps. As a GRÜN professional, you will also acquire in-depth planting and vegetation expertise. In the training company, you will learn how to use large and small machines with our modern machinery and equipment. You will apply modern working methods. Our highly qualified team will provide you with expertise for every task and support you in your work to help you successfully complete your training.

Procedure and content of the training

Your training will mainly take place at our site in Mühlacker. From the very first day, you will be involved as a fully-fledged team member in day-to-day activities ranging from the green maintenance of large industrial facilities to the design of exclusive private gardens with pools. You will soon be able to work independently on your own projects and take on responsibility at an early stage. But first you will be taught the basics:

- Preparing, setting up and managing construction sites
- Carrying out vegetation work such as Grass seeding, planting work and plant care
- Earthworks and earth modelling
- Drainage and supply work
- Designing and constructing structures in outdoor facilities such as paved areas
- Operating vehicles, machines and equipment - from wheel loaders to 10t excavators
- Surveying and setting out work

Special features of your apprenticeship

During your apprenticeship, you will spend regular training periods at our holding company in Reutlingen. In order to familiarise yourself with all facets of landscape gardening training and to prepare you for a promising career path, you will spend time in the areas of

gardening and landscaping
sports ground construction
green roofs and
irrigation technology.

You will also spend the last quarter of your apprenticeship with all of our apprentices at the Reutlingen site. During this time, our training supervisor Thomas Schwarz will prepare you for the final exams to become a gardener and landscaper. Practical exercises, training courses, trainee projects and educational trips round off the portfolio.

After your training, you will be a true all-rounder in the GREEN sector! You are welcome to join us straight away as a trained landscape gardener (m/f/d) or develop into a foreman.

Here are a few key facts for you:

- Job type: dual training programme
- Learning locations: at the training company at the two locations in Mühlacker and Reutlingen and at the vocational school (Carl-Hofer-Schule Karlsruhe). Vocational school lessons take place in block form.
- Duration of training: 3 years with the possibility of shortening the apprenticeship period if you perform well at school and in practice

What you earn with us:

During the entire training period, you will receive a monthly training allowance in accordance with the collective agreement for gardening, landscaping and sports facility construction (from 1 July 2026). July 2026):

Training remuneration for a 3-year training contract

- 1,140.00 euros gross in the first year of training
- 1.270.00 euros gross in the second year of training
- 1,390.00 euros gross in the third year of training

Training allowances for a 2-year training contract

- 1,140.00 euros gross in the first year of training
- 1.390.00 euros gross in the second year of training

Personally, you should:

- Be willing to travel
- Be flexible with regard to working hours and changing work tasks. Working hours, changing work tasks and construction sites
- Be team-, customer- and service-oriented
- Enjoy "green" tasks and enjoy working outdoors
- Be able to communicate, responsible and motivated

Previous school education

- Good secondary school leaving certificate, preferably also university entrance qualification (possibility to shorten the apprenticeship to two years)
- German language skills, spoken and written (min. C level)

Other qualities that are important:

- Mathematical understanding and spatial awareness
- Physical fitness and manual dexterity

- Trainee projects: Work on exciting trainee projects in collaboration with the Listhof environmental education centre, schools and communities in the region.
- Participate in training fairs: Visit up to ten training fairs throughout Baden-Württemberg and take part in vocational competitions, regionally and nationally.
- Educational trips and excursions: Explore our numerous suppliers and partners, including tree nurseries, gravel works and natural stone dealers.
- State-of-the-art equipment: Work with a constantly evolving fleet of machines and equipment.
- Practical training: Benefit from internal and external training and further education, including in the areas of plant science, wall construction, surfacing work, stair construction, pond/pool construction, machine knowledge and load securing.
