For our company ADAP Rinderzucht GmbH with 800 dairy cows, 1000 ha of agricultural land and 2 biogas plants in Ahrenshagen near Ribnitz-Damgarten, we are looking for a motivated and reliable assistant herd manager to strengthen our team.

Your tasks will include:

- Animal health and welfare: Carrying out health checks, monitoring births, looking after sick animals and performing hoof care.
- Feeding: Ensuring optimal feeding, checking rations and feed quality.
- Reproduction: organising insemination and monitoring offspring.
- Data management: collecting and evaluating data and key figures to optimise herd performance.
- Staff management: instructing, motivating and managing employees in the barn, drawing up work plans and delegating tasks.
- Barn management: Routine work in the barn such as box care and bedding

Requirements:

- Education: Completed agricultural vocational training or a degree in agricultural sciences is an advantage.
- Professional experience: Ideally experience in dairy farming.
- Expertise: Knowledge of animal husbandry, health, feeding and reproduction.****
- Observation skills: A trained eye for the herd to recognise changes and problems at an early stage.
- Organisational talent: Ability to plan, coordinate and organise operational processes
- Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and take on a variety of tasks
- Independent, responsible and reliable working style
