The Weser Waterways and Shipping Authority is looking for a
Hydraulic engineer (m/f/d) or applicant (m/f/d) with three years of training in the skilled trades (e.g. landscape gardener, road maintenance worker, bricklayer, forester)
for the Rotenburg a.d. Fulda sub-district
for an indefinite period of time, full-time, probably from 1 September 2026. Landscape gardener, road maintenance worker, bricklayer, forester)

That's what we need you for:
The main tasks include the following activities:
* Paving, stapling and packing of bank and stream structures on free-flowing rivers or fluctuating water levels
* Maintaining navigation signs
* Scanning and sounding the riverbed with sounding staff and sounding frames
* Shuttering, concreting and building walls for stairs, foundations, shafts, bank walls
* Concreting and building walls for Shafts, embankment walls
* Maintaining riparian trees and green areas
* Simple concrete, bricklaying, assembly and carpentry work
* Repairing and grouting masonry (embankment walls)
Your profile:
This is what you should definitely bring with you:
* Completed training as a hydraulic engineer or Applicants with three years of training in the skilled trades (e.g. landscape gardeners, road maintenance workers, bricklayers, foresters)
This is what characterises you:
* Proof of swimming
* Willingness to undergo further training
* Health suitability for the area of responsibility (such as lifting heavy loads, working at heights, e.g. on scaffolding and lifting work).
* Driving licence at least class B (old 3) and class CE (old 2) and willingness to drive company vehicles
* Willingness to travel on official business
* Willingness to obtain internal administrative qualifications as a hydraulic engineer
What we offer:
The position will be graded in pay group 4 or 5 TVöD Bund if the personal and collective agreement requirements are met.
* In accordance with TVöD, a special annual payment of 95% of the monthly salary is paid in November.
* 30 days' holiday per calendar year.

The probationary period is 6 months.
The advertised position is generally suitable for part-time employees.
