Piglet Production Stable Manager (f/m/d)

full-time or part-time (min. 50%) permanent position to be filled as soon as possible. Place of work is Boxberg.

The LSZ is the central educational, experimental and performance testing facility of the state of Baden-Württemberg in the field of pig farming and pig breeding with administrative, teaching and accommodation buildings as well as stable areas, feed centre, workshop and slaughterhouse. It is an inter-company training centre for the agricultural and animal husbandry professions.

The livestock of the training and experimental farm comprises 252 sows with piglet rearing and pig fattening. two thirds of the herd are kept in stables of conventional construction (thermally insulated, heatable, forced ventilation stables) and one third in stables of alternative construction (non-thermally insulated open front stables, gravity ventilation).

Your main responsibilities:

- Management and organisation of the stable area in conventional piglet production with 168 productive breeding sows.
- Personnel management of 2.5 trained barn employees.
- Implementation of inter-company training (ÜBA) and instruction of own trainees in the training occupation of farmer with a focus on pig farming.
- Participation in the further development of learning concepts within the framework of ÜBA.
- User-related use of the digital documentation and information system of the LSZ Boxberg.

Your profile:

- You have completed a master craftsman's examination in the profession of farmer / animal farmer or a degree as a state-certified technician for agriculture with an additional instructor aptitude test.
- You enjoy imparting specialist knowledge and carrying out practical training for prospective farmers.
- You have good specialist knowledge and practical experience in all areas of pig farming as well as an enthusiasm for the daily handling of pigs.
- You have the physical aptitude to carry out all the work required in the training and experimental barns and are prepared to work regularly at weekends and on public holidays.
- You are open to the special requirements of a training and experimental farm with modern barn technology and digital management programmes.
- An advantage: Class B/3 and T driving licence.

- We offer a collectively agreed salary including annual special payment (currently 88.14 per cent of a monthly salary). H. of a monthly wage), foreman's bonus (currently 421.45 euros per month) as well as performance bonuses from animal sales

The employment relationship is based on the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L), supplemented by the collective agreement TV-Tierhaltung. The regular full-time working week is 48 hours, including regular weekend and public holiday shifts. Remuneration is paid in pay group 7[1] (https:#_ftn1) if all collective agreement and personal requirements are met. We are happy to consider your part-time request.
