Job description:

- You will independently maintain outdoor facilities and green spaces in accordance with the applicable regulations. As a rule, these are grassland and lawn areas, borders, wooded or grove strips as well as sports fields and traffic areas such as water-bound paths.
- They recognise plants, shrubs and trees and their physiological characteristics in order to initiate the correct maintenance measures.
- They create new horticultural areas and maintain them.
- They maintain biotopes according to specifications.
- They remove weeds and foliage mechanically or thermally from traffic areas, sports facilities, lawns, building borders and fences.
- They operate four-wheel tractors and small horticultural machines and attachments. You handle these safely and responsibly.
- You are responsible for instructing and familiarising team members with existing and new municipal equipment.
- You carry out street cleaning. You will carry out winter maintenance and take part in the on-call service.
- You will maintain equipment.
- You will use digital communication tools such as email, apps etc. confidently.
- You will carry out the tasks assigned to you both independently and as part of a working group. Teamwork and identification with the job are particularly important.
- The willingness to occasionally work overtime and on Saturdays is required (during the hay harvest).
- The position is to be filled from 01.08.2026.
- Participation in regular and further training and further education measures is required.
- You will be employed on a permanent basis.
- You will be graded up to pay group 5 of the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD).
- The activities are to be carried out on site at the office. Full-time or part-time is possible.

Qualification requirements:

WHAT COUNTS FOR US

- You have successfully completed vocational training as a gardener or farmer or as a skilled worker in horticulture and landscaping or as a specialist for agricultural services or as a road builder or in a related green profession.
- You have a class BCE driving licence and a BCE military driving licence or are willing to acquire them. You agree to drive a service vehicle.
- You are physically fit and physically able to lift and carry objects and to work outdoors in a stooped position. You agree to take part in a medical examination if necessary.
- You are committed to the free democratic basic order within the meaning of the German Basic Law through your overall behaviour.
- Ideally, you have successfully completed the AS Baum I and AS Baum II courses.
