The Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Agriculture - public corporation - is looking for a

specialist advisor (m/f/d) in animal production with a focus on cattle breeding

The main area of responsibility includes:
- Supporting cattle farms in all technical matters relating to animal breeding and breeding advice
- Organising and running regional and national events
- Assisting in the implementation of training measures
- Supporting the management of breeders' associations
- Working with various agricultural associations on current issues in animal production
- Valuing livestock or individual animals
- Acquiring and working on projects

We expect applicants to have:
- A university degree (first professionally qualifying degree = Bachelor's/Diploma FH) in agricultural sciences, a degree in agriculture or animal husbandry or successful completion of a degree in agriculture or animal husbandry. Master of Animal Husbandry or successful completion of a two-year agricultural college with specialisation in animal production
- Reliable knowledge and practical implementation skills in breeding advice and animal assessment
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to perform as well as commitment and team spirit
- A class B driving licence, the willingness to use your own car for business purposes (reimbursement is made in accordance with the applicable state travel expenses law) as well as the performance of field service activities
- Participation in events - also in the evening or on weekends and public holidays
- Organisational talent and the ability to communicate in individual and group consultations
- A confident and friendly manner as well as good oral and written expression

Notes:
This is a full-time position limited to 2 years.
The employment relationship is based on the provisions of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L).
If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, a classification up to pay group 10 TV-L is envisaged.
If equally qualified, applications from severely disabled persons will be given preferential consideration.
