The city of Neu-Ulm is looking for a:

Forester/Gardener (m/f/d) in the field of tree care

Pay: Pay group 6 TVöD plus tariff supplements

Working hours: Full-time

Leave: 30 days holiday entitlement with a 5-day week

Your tasks additional pay

Working hours: full-time

Leave: 30 days holiday entitlement with a 5-day week

Your main tasks:

- Maintaining trees of all sizes (from young to large trees)
- Installing crown protections/hollow linings
- Working with the aerial work platform, saws and pruning tools
- Checking and repairing storm damage
- Felling heavy and weak wood
- Assisting with special tasks at the building depot (helping to set up festivals and events and subsequent cleaning)
- Assisting with winter services

Requirements profile:

- Completed vocational training as a forest manager or as a gardener specialising in tree nursery or gardening and landscaping (m/f/d) with experience in tree care
- Driving licence class CE or willingness to obtain a driving licence
- Completed AS Baum 1 (chainsaw course) and AS Baum 2 (working with a chainsaw in an aerial work platform) courses or willingness to complete the courses
- Completed SKT A and B (rope climbing technique) courses an advantage, or willingness to undergo further training in the above-mentioned areas
- Willingness to work overtime, including winter service and work outside of normal working hours
- Ability to work in a team
- Physical resilience
