**We are there for people.** As a Protestant welfare organisation, Diakonisches Werk Dortmund und Lünen creates local services to accompany and support people seeking help and to create new perspectives for them. Every day, around 1,000 employees and more than 500 volunteers work in our more than 40 social facilities.

The women's night shelter is an emergency shelter for homeless women or women at risk of homelessness, with or without children. a staff of 20 specialists and support workers help up to 54 women back into an independent life. Experiences of violence, psychological impairments, addiction, existential and future fears characterise the everyday lives of the residents.

Your tasks

- Taking in homeless women or women at risk of homelessness women at risk of homelessness
- Assistance in crisis situations
- Cleaning and equipping the overnight accommodation
- Issuing emergency supplies
- Organising an orderly process
- Enforcing the house rules

Your profile

- Willingness to work late and night shifts and at weekends
- High level of acceptance and empathy for homeless women or women at risk of homelessness and their living conditions
- Strong teamwork skills in a large, multi-professional team as well as a positive attitude towards the target group and the team
- Ability to self-reflect
- Experience in working with mentally ill and addicted people is desirable
- Identification with our values with regard to the people who entrust themselves to us, who entrust themselves to us
