The following position is to be filled for an indefinite period of time at the District Development Office of the Meißen District Office as of 01 January 2027:
Revierleiter/Revierleiter (f/m/d)
The weekly working time for employees covered by collective agreements is 39 hours. Part-time employment is possible.
The place of work is Großenhain.

As head of the eastern district, you will be responsible for the forest areas of the municipalities of Ebersbach, Radeburg, Schönfeld, Tauscha and Thiendorf.
Your tasks include in particular:
- Forest supervision - monitoring forest conservation, protecting the forest from damage and ensuring the proper management of the forest
- Preventing, prosecuting and punishing offences against forest regulations
- Forest protection - averting dangers, forest and its functions by third parties
- Prosecution and reporting of unlawful acts that constitute a criminal offence or fine aimed at protecting nature or the environment
- Forest protection - monitoring the forest to protect it from damage caused by animal and plant forest pests; Monitoring of quarantine pests
- Implementation of standard monitoring measures
- Monitoring of the forest to protect against damage caused by natural events and to prevent forest fires
- Monitoring of compliance with the principles of good professional practice in forest plant protection
- Participation in the preparation of statements - as a representative of public interests as a representative of public interests
- for the implementation of the Saxon Forest Act
- Participation in the preparation of statements on the designation of protected areas and preparatory work for forest biotope mapping in the context of nature conservation and landscape management
- Preparation of preparatory work for forest reports and statistics
- Marking of bridle paths in the forest, Identifying and repairing significant damage to designated bridleways
Your profile:
- Qualification for career group 2, first entry level (formerly senior civil service) in the field of agricultural and forestry administration - focus on forestry service
- Physical aptitude (an aptitude test will be carried out prior to recruitment)
- Strong organisational, Documentation and decision-making skills as well as initiative/self-motivation and diligence/conscientiousness
- Predominantly field service work
- Car driving licence
- Knowledge of regional conditions (forest stock) an advantage
- Willingness to participate in the on-call duty "forest fire", to participate in the on-call "Forest Fire Protection Service" of the Forestry and Agriculture Department
- Willingness to work weekends and nights
- Valid hunting licence an advantage
- Chainsaw licence desirable
- German language skills at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (proof required)
