The Federal City of Bonn (347,000 inhabitants) plans, builds and maintains around 1,400 hectares of green spaces for the quality of life of its citizens with around 300 employees of the Office for the Environment and Urban Greenery in the Urban Greenery division. In addition to parks, this includes other public green spaces both in traffic areas and around public buildings, playgrounds, 40 cemeteries and the municipal forest.
The Office for the Environment and Urban Greenery works continuously to improve biodiversity and naturalness in urban green spaces. In addition to the meadow programme, insect-friendly mixed perennial plantings or the Bonn open space concept, there are also new approaches, such as the near-natural greening of tree grates.

Your possible new area of responsibility includes both auxiliary gardening work in the area of green space and cemetery maintenance as well as driving activities and the operation of typical gardening and landscaping machines and equipment.

Prerequisites:

- Professional experience in green maintenance, gardening and landscaping or in agriculture as well as safe handling of machines and equipment
- Ability to work in a team, reliability and commitment
- Physical fitness for lifting and carrying loads
- Driving licence class C1 or C1E or equivalent

Desirable:

- Driving licence class C / CE
- Knowledge and professional experience in the operation of large equipment (e.g. excavators, wheel loaders, large machines
) Excavator, wheel loader, large area mower)
- Proof of training in accordance with the Professional Driver Qualification Act (BKrFQG)
- Registration of the identification number "95" (driver qualification certificate)

Since the field of activity is exclusively in the public sector, an appropriate and citizen-friendly demeanour is a basic requirement.

These are full-time positions. Part-time appointments are also possible.
