For our young and committed team, we are looking for a

full-time manager (m/f/d) of our nursery training programme

As part of the subsidised training of young people, a wide range of salad, vegetable and herb varieties as well as flowers are grown in our Demeter-certified Pestalozzi nursery. Our teas and aromatic herbs are a speciality, which we offer as pure varieties and as mixtures. The crop rotation of the nursery's open-air areas is harmonised with the arable and fodder crops of Pestalozzi Landwirtschaft. The plants in the greenhouses grow on soil, not on substrate. Intensive compost management promotes a living soil as the basis for natural plant growth.

All products are available in the Pestalozzi village shop, in our own farm shop at the nursery and at our market stalls at the weekly markets in Radolfzell and Constance, as well as in some food retailers.

The Pestalozzi nursery is part of the Pestalozzi Children's and Youth Village, which is a safe place for children and young people in difficult life situations and for young adults with special needs. Around 500 people from a wide range of professions work together to ensure that every child, young person and young adult has the best possible conditions in which to grow and develop. The strength of our community lies in its diversity.

These are your tasks:

- Independent management and conceptual development of the training operation in vegetable growing
- Planning, organisation and monitoring of Demeter vegetable production in the open field and in protected cultivation as part of the training.
- Management of cultivation and harvesting, as well as storage and marketing to affiliated companies if necessary. storage and marketing to affiliated companies
- Supervision of Demeter and organic inspections
- Management of a small team of gardeners and support staff
- Responsibility for the entire in-company training, the quality of training and the individual development of currently 5 trainees with support needs

What you bring:

- A completed master craftsman, technician or comparable qualification with training authorisation in horticulture specialising in vegetable growing.
- Sound experience in farm management or team management
- Knowledge of Demeter or organic production is highly desirable
- Knowledge of personnel management and training young people (ideally with an inclusion or support background) is an advantage
- Additional rehabilitation pedagogical qualification for trainers (ReZA) or the willingness to acquire this - the Children's Village will cover the costs for this further training. or comparable qualifications such as work educator or similar.ä.
