Who we are

The Lebensgemeinschaft Bingenheim is an inclusive place to live in Hesse for around 140 children, young people and adults with disabilities. We provide needs-based forms of housing, run a Waldorf special school and operate recognised workshops for people with disabilities (WfbM).

Together with a group of people with assistance needs, you will run the horticultural seed propagation and help to preserve valuable, seed-resistant seeds.

These are your tasks:

- Propagating pure varieties of vegetable plants (sowing, care, pollination, harvesting)

- Cleaning, processing, drying and storing seeds

- Documentation and quality control

- Maintaining the cultivated areas according to biodynamic principles

- Instructing and accompanying people with assistance needs in all work processes

- Organising and designing work processes and coordinating within the team

What you need:

- Completed training as a gardener (horticulture, ornamental plant cultivation, or similar)

- Completed training as a gardener (horticulture, ornamental plant cultivation, or similar). ä.) and relevant practical experience in seed propagation

- Experience or great interest in seed propagation and biodynamic farming

- Enjoy careful, patient and structured work

- Interest in working with people with assistance needs

- Additional qualification as a gFAB (specialist for work and vocational promotion in WfbM) - can still be acquired

- Driving licence class B an advantage

- Ability to work in a team, initiative and empathy
