The iSA office stands for 26 years of planning expertise and experience in both the private and public sectors and employs 30 people.

We work across all disciplines in the fields of urban development, spatial and environmental planning, civil engineering, architecture, open space planning, landscape planning, nature and species conservation expertise. We are active both regionally and nationally with offices in Heltersberg and Bad Kohlgrub. The variety of parallel planning projects requires interdisciplinary teamwork and ensures varied tasks in all areas.

The field of work covers the entire spectrum of landscape conservation with a focus on

- biotope type mapping
- creation of landscape plans
- creation of biotope network plans
- terrain mapping: Biotopes, biotope types, vegetation, trees, animal and plant species
- Limnological investigations
- Aerial photo evaluation
- (Watercourse) structure mapping
- Long-term investigations (monitoring)
- Permanent surveys (bats), Recording of bird occurrences
- Contributions to species protection (species protection statements / technical contributions)
- Maintenance and development planning
- Landscape planning (landscape plan, landscape framework plan, green structure plan, landscape conservation plan...) in collaboration with landscape planners
- FFH (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive): Impact assessment, site monitoring
- EIA / EIA environmental impact assessment
- Compensation area register (eco-account)
- EU Birds Directive
- EU Water Framework Directive
- Specially protected biotopes (§ 30 BNatSchG)
- Preparation of landscape conservation plans, environmental reports and green structure plans incl. impact compensation balances. Impact compensation balancing
- Creation of plans using common GIS software, VectorWorks, AutoCad

Your profile:

- Completed studies in the field of biology or a comparable degree programme
- Experience in biotope type mapping
- Good knowledge of vegetation/floristics is desirable
- Sound GIS and CAD knowledge
- Confident in spelling and grammar
- Confident in the use of common MS Office programmes
- Independent, structured way of working
- Enjoy working in a team
- Car driving licence
- Willingness to travel
