Company description:
We are a sheep farm in the Diepholzer Moorniederung and are active in landscape conservation with our moorland sheep. During the summer months, our herd cares for extensive moorland areas, while in winter the animals are kept on grassland and pastures.
Our farm has around 650 sheep, a few goats and 9 guard dogs.
Job description
Our sheep farm manages around 650 hectares of nature conservation and cultivated land (moorland and sandy heaths) with 650 moorland sheep, crossbred animals and goats. As the farm is located in wolf territory, we have been working successfully with livestock guarding dogs for many years.
We are currently looking for a farm manager on a salaried basis. The operational management includes the technical and business management of the company in close coordination with the management of the operator:This includes the following areas of responsibility in particular:
Managing the management of natural and cultivated areas, in particular the grazing of sheep, taking into account existing requirements and in accordance with grazing plans;
Management of the currently three sheep farm employees;
Communication and cooperation with partners, such as nature conservation authorities, the BUND organisation Diepholzer Moorniederung, landscape conservation association, etc.
Marketing of the animals;
Further development of the farm concept and farm organisation;
We expect:

Professional experience in (livestock) sheep farming and landscape management and the willingness to work in practical livestock farming;

Experience in the technical and business management of a farm;
