For a school canteen in Kassel, we are looking for a School Canteen Manager (m/f/d) who enjoys taking on more responsibility step by step - or has already gained experience in a managerial role and fulfils it with clarity and fairness.

Your future area of responsibility

- You will lead a small team directly in the canteen in Kassel - with clarity, fairness and real team spirit.
- As a school canteen manager (m/f/d), you will carefully prepare your workplace, check the ingredients and ensure that the food is stored properly.
- Cleanliness and tidiness in the workplace are a matter of course for you.
- You take over the ordering of food and ensure that processes are documented in a comprehensible manner.
- You actively work in the hot kitchen and, together with your team, ensure that meals are prepared on time and in consistent quality.
- You reliably operate the cash register in the canteen and keep an overview even at peak times.
- You will carry out small organisational tasks on the computer, e.g. sending emails to other locations or passing on important information, as well as placing orders.
- In all your activities, you will consistently observe the applicable hygiene regulations (HACCP rules) and implement them conscientiously.

What you bring to the table

- You enjoy working with people and making a difference as part of a team.
- You are a school canteen manager (m/f/d) or have worked as a shift supervisor or assistant cook and therefore have specialist knowledge and routine.
- You are characterised by reliability, cleanliness and a high standard of quality.
- You are responsible when dealing with food: you know how to use leftovers sensibly and how to use resources carefully.
- You think ahead - for example, which products should be processed first - and thus ensure a smooth process.
- You speak and understand German very well (at least C1 level) so that communication within the team and with guests works smoothly.

What to expect

- 5 days per week - part-time (30 hours per week).
- Monday to Friday, no weekends - that means: time for family, hobbies or just relaxing.
- Working hours: Usually between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
- Your hourly wage: 17 €/hour.
- We will provide you with work clothes.
