What you can expect
- You will provide low-threshold support for people in accommodation centres in Frankfurt am Main and act as the first point of contact for residents.
- You will be responsible for the safety and well-being of the people accommodated.
- You ensure compliance with and implementation of the applicable house rules, hygiene regulations and fire safety within the accommodation.
- You make an important contribution to the prevention of violence and conflict by recognising tensions at an early stage and intervening to de-escalate them.
- You support the facility management and the team with organisational and administrative tasks in day-to-day operations.
- You show flexibility and, if necessary, stand in at short notice as a replacement for colleagues in various accommodation centres.
- You work closely with internal and external contacts (e.g. social services, security services and authorities).

- Ideally, you have completed training or have a comparable qualification.
- You can provide a clean criminal record.
- You are willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- You are willing to participate in training and further education, especially in the areas of de-escalation, security and intercultural competence.
- You have very good written and spoken German language skills (at least German B2 + professional).
- Ideally, you have a certificate of competence according to § 34a GewO or a comparable qualification.
- Personally, you are characterised by a sense of responsibility, resilience, the ability to work in a team and a confident manner.
Your place of work
The Rhine-Main Regional Association has its headquarters in Frankfurt Nieder-Eschbach and covers the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main metropolitan region, the Wetterau, Hochtaunus and Main-Taunus districts. Our regional association includes nine rescue stations as well as the Johanniter Education and Training Centre (JATZ) rescue service school, first aid training, four day care centres, several shelters for refugees, the home emergency call and menu service, assisted trips for senior citizens and outpatient care (Johanniter-Cronstetten-Altenhilfe). The Hirzenhain local association and its Vogelsberg rescue dog team are also part of the regional organisation. We offer voluntary medical services, civil protection, Lacrima Rhein-Main (grief counselling for children and families), the SALT (Staging Area Logistics and Training), which is a centre of Johanniter International Assistance and is affiliated to its logistics department, the SAR unit (Search & Rescue) with the independent components quad squadron and the drone squadron. Our regional association is part of the Frankfurt and Wetterau civil protection services, and we also manage the Johanniter European Civil Protection Competence Centre (EUCC).
