We support people who have become dependent on care in old age in organising their lives, assist them and thus enable them to live as independently as possible. We offer various forms of living, such as care facilities and assisted living, as well as short-term care and day care. The staff provide care with competence and heart, experience and care.

Situated in a beautiful landscape on the shores of Lake Bordesholm, the Klosterstift offers inpatient care for people in need of care with a total of 92 places as well as short-term care. Here you will find a friendly team and the opportunity to give people in need of care joy of life and everyday help with your active support.

As a kitchen assistant (m/f/d) in the Klosterstift, you will support the kitchen team in providing residents with good and reliable meals every day.

The regular working hours of the part-time position are 19.25 hours per week, spread over three working days per week. For the part-time position, 5.25 hours per week are scheduled on one working day.

Your role:

- Assisting with the preparation of breakfast, dinner and other meals
- Preparation and follow-up of work processes and simple documentation
- Procuring materials and replenishing stocks
- Setting and covering the dining room
- Service activities in the kitchen area and supporting the team in day-to-day business

We are looking for:

- For the part-time position: Experience in the preparation of hot meals
- For part-time employment, no previous experience in the hot kitchen is required
- Experience as a kitchen assistant or in the service area
- Confident handling of common kitchen equipment and basic knowledge of food processing
- Enjoy teamwork and the willingness to actively help shape processes
- Appreciative demeanour towards elderly people and people in need of care
- German language skills at least B2 level
