Clerk (m/f/d) for the Climate, Environment and Green Spaces department as soon as possible for temporary employment in accordance with Section 14 (1) TzBfG as part of a parental leave replacement from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026

Your tasks
- Implementing and coordinating the care and maintenance measures of the municipal tree population in roadside greenery, on municipal green spaces and on municipal playgrounds - Developing and defining care measures/concepts and quality standards and assurance for tree maintenance
- Developing strategies and concepts for adapting to climate change, including Irrigation management, screening and testing of stress-tolerant tree species
- Evaluation of monitoring and assessment of damage characteristics with regard to necessary follow-up measures such as pruning measures, crown protection and the treatment of bark, wood and root damage or felling
- Applying for interventions requiring authorisation from the responsible authorities and the respective experts with regard to species protection, values of the expert opinions and felling. Species protection, evaluating the expert reports and coordinating further measures
- Preparing expert reports in the event of damage
- Processing administrative offences
- Inspecting trees for reasons of traffic safety
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of the tree register
- Preparing tenders for the awarding of external contracts by the awarding authority (incl.including determination of requirements, cost and contract value estimation, examination of financial resources, preparation of the list of services and contracts)
Your profile
- Completion of a technengineeringscientific studies (Diploma/FH, Bachelor) specialising in forestry, horticulture, landscape planning/architecture, landscape design or comparable
- Several years of experience in the context of inspections to ensure traffic safety (tree statics, biology, diseases, etc.) or tree care
- You have a good knowledge and experience in the field of tree care.) or tree care
- Certificate as a tree inspector or other advanced training in tree inspection and care is desirable
- Very high level of technical expertise: Knowledge of woody plants, care/growth of trees and woody plants, assessment of traffic safety, disease/pest patterns, on breakage/stand safety
- Strong specialist expertise/specialist technical knowledge in the planning/implementation of construction work and in the assessment of tree-relevant interventions
- Good legal expertise as well as knowledge of specialist regulations, in particular the BbgNatSchG, PBaumSchVO, VTA method, ZTV tree care, DIN regulations and FLL tree inspection guidelines
- Good knowledge and experience in administrative work
- High personal competence (integrity and motivation) paired with a pronounced willingness to take responsibility and loyalty as well as strong judgement and decision-making skills

- An attractive salary package in pay grade E 10 with a gross monthly salary of 4.124.53 - €5,181.37 in accordance with the TVöD-VKA collective agreement, depending on previous professional experience
