We are a state-recognised self-help organisation of producer rings for plant production and organic farming based in Munich. As an umbrella organisation, we have been supporting our 38 regional specialist producer rings in providing services for Bavarian farmers, gardeners and winegrowers for over 50 years. With more than 200 employees, we are specialists in the field of quality testing of plant products and in all topics related to plant production.

For our "Erzeugerring für Blumen und Zierpflanzen Bayern Süd, Mittelfranken" based in Zolling, we are looking for a committed

Managing Director (m/f/d)

Your tasks

- You will develop the Erzeugerring für Blumen und Zierpflanzen Bayern Süd e.V. conceptually and consistently as a service provider for vegetable growers.
- You will provide independent and practical advice to commercial farms that produce and market mainly ornamental plants, but also perennials and young vegetable plants, on all technical production issues.
- The focus is on questions of crop management with a focus on plant protection (both integrated and organic, as well as plant strengthening), irrigation and fertilisation in open field and greenhouse cultivation as well as advice on quality assurance systems.
- As the advice to the companies is mainly provided on site in the field, a class B driving licence and your own car are a prerequisite for employment. We will reimburse you for kilometres driven on business with a mileage allowance.

Your profile

- You have a sound agricultural/horticultural education or a degree in horticulture or agriculture. Practical experience in ornamental plant cultivation is a plus.
- You are familiar with the crops of the bedding and balcony assortment and know the main crops in ornamental plant cultivation.
- You have good knowledge of plant protection and pest detection and can read damage patterns. You have regularly completed further training in plant protection. You have a valid certificate of competence.
- You enjoy working in a committed team and take pleasure in personal responsibility and creativity. In the course of vegetation, you are "close to the plants" and provide practical advice to the companies. It goes without saying that you are familiar with the usual IT systems.
- You live in Bavaria - your area of work will be organised close to your location.
