The Office for Planning and Building is committed to making Offenbach a city worth living in with a great deal of dedication and expertise. The Traffic Route Construction and Engineering Structures and Open Space Planning and Urban Greenery departments are responsible for the design, new planning and renovation of public open and green spaces as well as the construction and ground-up renewal of roads, footpaths, cycle paths and engineering structures. Together, the departments are responsible for developing contributions to a climate-resilient and sustainable urban environment. In a team of seventeen, we are committed to improving living conditions in Offenbach in a competent, sustainable and future-oriented manner.

Your main areas of responsibility:

- Professional monitoring, support and assistance with all urban open space planning and new road construction measures, in particular attending site and construction site appointments including acceptance
- Handling complaints management (examining complaints on site, recording facts, drawing up proposals,
- Representing and safeguarding the interests of owners of public open spaces and traffic facilities in coordination with the responsible departments - depending on personal qualifications, an additional project management function for smaller construction measures in the open space and road area (e.g. planting, replanning, reorganising, planning) is possible. You bring with you:

- Completed training as a state-certified (construction) technician / master craftsman in the fields of gardening and landscaping, civil engineering, road construction or a comparable, relevant specialisation
- Several years of professional experience in the above-mentioned field is an advantage. knowledge of construction and planning law, VOB and VOL as well as technical standards, esp. in construction
- High level of independence and reliability as well as the ability to work in an interdisciplinary and goal-oriented manner
- Confident and convincing appearance in combination with a pronounced ability to make decisions and persuade as well as communication and negotiation skills
- Distinct cost and environmentally conscious thinking and acting
- Willingness and ability to supervise construction measures on site
- Confident knowledge of the German language in spoken and written (min. Level C1 CEFR)
- Possession of an EU driving licence (min. class B)
