Volunteer service gardening and landscaping (BFD) in Pforzheim

The green teams at miteinanderleben service gGmbH are an inclusive gardening and landscaping company. We serve municipal clients (e.g. the Enzkreis district) and private customers.

We are certified for the harvesting and distribution of regional seeds of various meadow types from the area of origin 11 and also carry out seeding ourselves. Our ecology project "Near-natural meadows", which we offer for schools, rounds off the spectrum.

A new project serves to preserve endangered arable weed species. We explore new locations for seed harvesting and propagate the seeds in order to make them available for organic farming.

One focus in the winter months is pruning work in the Pforzheim orchards.

We offer people with disabilities meaningful employment within the scope of their physical and mental capabilities. In this way, we combine social responsibility with the creation of performance-adapted, sustainable jobs.

YOUR TASKS

Daily / regular work:

- Maintenance of green areas, shrubs and perennials in private gardens and public green spaces, e.g. mowing, maintenance and pruning. Mowing work, maintenance and pruning in shrub areas, pruning work... - simply everything that arises outside in the changing seasons
- Cutting and mowing work at the shredding sites in the Enzkreis
- Completion of environmental reports (driving licence)

Regular / seasonal work:

- Mowing and woodland work in nature conservation areas in the Enzkreis district
- Harvesting meadow threshing seed from certified, regional meadow stands of the area of origin 11
- Summer pruning of woody plants and topiary hedges
- Tree care in orchards of the Enzkreis
- Inspection and commissioning of meadow threshing seeds
- Harvesting and cultivation of wild herbs
- Tent hire for the Stadtjugendring

One-off activities and projects:

- Help with the organisation of internal festivals and events
- Fruit harvesting and cider production

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU

- Completed compulsory full-time schooling and of legal age
- Desire to learn to work independently
- Enjoy predominantly physical work in sun, Wind and weather
- Social skills and a positive attitude towards inclusive companies
- Driving licence would be important to be able to join us properly
- PC skills
