The local community of Engelstadt is looking for an

employee for the building yard (m/f/d)

This is a part-time position (hours between 17 and 19.5 hours per week possible). The position is initially limited to one year, with the option of being taken on.

What you can expect:

- Maintaining the green areas, e.g. Maintenance of green areas, playgrounds and mowing work, tree and hedge trimming
- Maintenance of roads, footpaths, cycle paths and farm tracks
- Care and maintenance work at the cemetery/activities in the burial and cemetery sector
- Caretaker activities, Maintenance and repair work for municipal facilities and buildings
- Operation of equipment and machines as well as repair and maintenance work on equipment and machines
- Winter service/recycling service (depending on weather conditions also outside regular working hours and at weekends)
- Set-up and dismantling work in connection with municipal events
- Other activities in the area of the building yard

This is what we want from you:

- Good, versatile and landscaping skills
- Completed vocational training in a building trade/technical profession or in gardening and landscaping is an advantage
- Ability to work in a team and physical resilience
- Authorisation to operate chainsaws and motor-driven cutting tools or willingness to acquire this
- The ability to work in a team
- The ability to work in a team and physical resilience the willingness to acquire these
- Class B driving licence required, classes BE, C, CE desirable
- Good communication skills (at least German language skills comparable to level B2 CEFR)
- Willingness to familiarise yourself with changing areas of responsibility

What you can look forward to:

The employment relationship and the classification are based on the provisions of the public service collective agreement (TVöD). Depending on personal requirements, remuneration will be between pay group 2 and pay group 5 of Annex A to the TVöD, including all the usual social benefits in the public sector and a predominantly employer-financed additional pension scheme.
