WHAT WE ARE...

Karlstein am Main is a modern community close to life between Main and Spessart - on the edge of the Rhine-Main area. Our municipality is a place to live with an extensive infrastructure for young and old and offers all citizens a high quality of life.

This is what YOU can expect from us...

- Maintenance of green spaces: cutting hedges, pruning, mowing lawns, weeding
- Street cleaning of municipal roads and in front of buildings and squares
- Care and maintenance of ornamental fountains and water taps
- Maintenance of the equipment and machines used by the building yard: Checking and topping up water and oil, greasing and minor repairs
- Tasks as instructed/ordered by the public order office: traffic safety, installing new traffic signs, replacing defective traffic signs, setting up road closures, as well as hanging, programming and reading out traffic measuring devices
- Other work as instructed or as required: Road paving work and repairs, moving materials at club events, welding, checking and replacing the building yard's lighting in general, lifting and manoeuvring loads with the forklift
- Wastewater tasks: on-call duty for any faults that occur, system checks and monitoring of the lift station, gullies, covers and pipes on site and via remote maintenance, supervision of work carried out by external companies, troubleshooting of e.g. blocked pumps, maintenance and repair work on the sewage system.Maintenance by means of pump flushing with hoses via the hydrants, if necessary pulling up the pumps and arranging cleaning via external companies
- Collaboration in winter service with deployment also outside normal working hours, as well as on-call duty
- Flexible deployment in all other areas of activity of the building yard

What you bring with you...

- Completed training as a gardener specialising in gardening and landscaping or in a skilled trade
- Reliable, independent and team-oriented work
- Commitment, physical resilience and manual dexterity
- Knowledge and skills for operating and handling machines
- Driving licence at least class B or BE, CE would be advantageous
