We are the specialist authority responsible for the environment, nature conservation, agriculture, geology and rural development (http://www.lfulg.sachsen.de/) in Saxony. In these areas, we perform in particular non-profit tasks of consulting, applied research, promotion and control.

Interesting tasks

We look forward to supporting our department in the following tasks:

- Work preparation, coordination and implementation of all necessary planting and maintenance work on the trial areas in Pillnitz and the surrounding area of the College of Horticulture and Agricultural Engineering, as well as carrying out horticultural trials
- Operation and maintenance of the specialist horticultural trial technology
- Professional management of the assigned horticultural staff
- Organisation and control of the implementation and execution of plant protection measures

You will have

- successfully completed a master gardener's or technician's qualification in gardening and landscaping, tree nursery or cemetery gardening
- good plant knowledge and experience in the maintenance of green spaces
- several years of experience in the maintenance of green spaces, in particular the care of shrubs and perennials as well as knowledge and experience in carrying out trials are desirable
- Driving licence class B (mandatory) and class C1E (an advantage) and the willingness to drive a company vehicle
- Competent use of German at language level C1
- Knowledge of common MS Office programmes (MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word)
- Chainsaw licence is an advantage
- Certificate of competence in plant protection or the willingness to obtain a post-qualification
