Gardener (m/f/d) Work Therapy Garden
(full-time/38.5 hours per week or part-time as agreed, permanent)

The psychiatric detention centre in Uchtspringe, under the umbrella of Salus Altmark Holding gGmbH, currently has a total of 326 places, 116 of which are managed in the Lochow branch. High structural, technical and organisational security precautions both internally and externally, in conjunction with the therapeutic work, ensure that the facility can fulfil its demanding social mission. The aim is to heal the person accommodated as far as possible or to improve their condition to such an extent that they no longer pose a danger to the general public and can be reintegrated into society.

What you can expect:

The occupational therapy garden is part of occupational therapy. In this AT, the residents are involved in maintaining the grounds, growing fruit, vegetables and flowers and caring for animals.

- Planning and implementing occupational therapy and practical life activities in the occupational therapy garden
- Instructing, observing and monitoring the residents during the specified therapy times with the aim of enabling them to participate in working life at the facility
- Instructing the residents on how to use tools, machines and work equipment. Handling of tools, machines and work materials
- Organisation of work processes taking into account the performance of those accommodated
- Preparation of assignments and assessments in collaboration with the occupational therapist in the unit
- Determination of the monthly motivational allowance
- Participation in supervision

- You have completed training as a gardener (m/f/d) or a similar qualification
- You have several years of professional experience
- You have good interpersonal skills and patience
- Communication skills, Commitment and team spirit are your strengths
- You like working in the fresh air
- You have a class B driving licence
- Experience in forensic psychiatry is desirable
- You are willing to undergo further training

We would like to point out that a certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority (document type O) must be submitted before the start of the employment relationship, which must not be older than 3 months when starting work.
