The SBO Servicebetriebe Oberhausen is an in-house operation of the city of Oberhausen, right in the heart of the Ruhr metropolis with around 213,000 inhabitants.

Nearly 600 employees work for us every day as a service centre for the citizens of Oberhausen and for the entire Stadt Oberhausen Group. For example, we operate Oberhausen's swimming pools and leisure facilities, are responsible for the maintenance of green spaces and the operation of the municipal cemeteries and parks and manage the animal enclosure in the Kaisergarten, which is known far beyond the city limits of Oberhausen. Our wide-ranging services also include all tasks relating to the facility management of municipal properties and some properties in the Oberhausen Group. This also includes the building services management of schools, sports halls, day-care centres, etc.

Tree caretaker (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

- Crown care and felling of street and park trees, as well as trees on public properties such as schools, Day-care centres and playgrounds in accordance with ZTV tree care in the city of Oberhausen
- Massaria checks on plane trees and the removal of infested branches to restore road safety in the city of Oberhausen
- Participation in the forestry management of the city forest
- Reliable operation of aerial work platforms, chainsaws and chippers
- Collaboration in winter service and seasonal special tasks

You bring with you:

- Completed training as a forester (m/f/d) or gardener specialising in gardening and landscaping

- Specialist knowledge and application of ZTV tree care

- Experience in the use of aerial work platforms (AS Baum II), chainsaws and chippers

- Possession of driving licence classes B or BE is required, CE preferred

- Willingness to participate in training courses to complete the necessary qualifications

- Health suitability according to H9 tree work, physical resilience

- Independent, responsible and service-oriented way of working

- High level of commitment, flexibility and reliability

- Social and professional competence in contact with clients, citizens and representatives of public institutions

- Team spirit and collegiality

- Physical resilience, manual dexterity and technical understanding
