Who we are:
The Am Sand retirement home is a facility in Wernberg-Köblitz that is characterised by warm care and a high quality of life for our residents. We see eating as a way of enjoying life.

To strengthen our kitchen team, we are looking for a committed kitchen assistant (m/f/d) full or part-time with immediate effect or as soon as possible.

Your tasks - What you will do with us:

- Support: Working in the kitchen team (washing, cleaning, cutting vegetables, salad and fruit).
- Food preparation: Simple preparation of breakfast components, desserts and snacks.
- Service & serving: Portioning and serving meals as well as assisting with food distribution.
- Hygiene: Compliance with HACCP guidelines and cleaning the work area, work equipment and crockery.
- Storage: Proper storage of food and assistance with stocktaking.

What you need:

- Experience in the catering industry or in a commercial kitchen is an advantage, but not a must - career changers are very welcome.
- Enjoy working with food and working with older people.
- Ability to work in a team, reliability and a structured way of working.
- Knowledge of German for communication within the team.
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays (as part of the duty rota).
