The VNP Nature Conservation Park Foundation is dedicated to preserving and maintaining the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve. It looks after almost 6,000 hectares of heathland and moorland all year round with six herds of Heidschnucken sheep. Only during the lambing season is the heathland not visited daily by the herds.

a shepherd with a high level of personal responsibility (f, m, d)

for our 6 herds of heather sheep

Your area of responsibility as soon as possible:
: Daily independent herding in one of the six herds of heather sheep as agreed with the herd shepherd
: Care of the animals
: Other tasks arising in the sheep farms

Your profile:
: Professional experience in shepherding desirable, career starters are welcome,
: You have the ability to lead a flock yourself and to herd independently
: Own herding dogs available
: Animal welfare and respectful treatment of the animals are important to you
: Experienced handling of farm loaders
: You have a valid class B driving licence, class BE would be desirable
: You will carry out the tasks we entrust to you responsibly and work in a team-oriented manner
