The town of Strausberg, with over 28,000 inhabitants, is the largest town in the district of Märkisch-Oderland in the state of Brandenburg and approx. 35 kilometres east of Berlin. We are looking for you to join our building yard team!

Your tasks

Work in road and path construction

- Laying paving stones, concrete and natural stone as well as slabs
- Installing kerbs, steps, guiding elements for the blind, angle supports, box gutters, etc.
- New pavement construction, construction of kerbs and drainage troughs
- Constructive earthworks on embankments, verges, culverts
- Construction site safety in accordance with RSA21
- MVAS99 according to RSA21 MVAS99 according to RSA21
- Driving wheel loader, roller, lorry, excavator

- Maintenance of municipal public green spaces

- Maintenance of green spaces and tree care work
- Working with large area mowers, brush cutters and chainsaws

Other operational tasks

- Carrying out winter road maintenance incl. vehicle management (Multicar)

- Carrying out winter road maintenance. Vehicle driving (Multicar)
- Preparation and follow-up of city festivals, cleaning work, rubbish tours, oil spill removal,
- Courier and collection trips, in-house repairs and maintenance work
- On-call duty, weekend and public holiday work

Your profile

- A completed three-year vocational training as a gardener:in (m/f/d) - specialising in gardening and landscaping
- Driving licence for categories C1E, C1, C; desirable CE (proof required)
- Willingness to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weathers
- Flexibility and commitment, also outside of regular working hours
- Interaction with citizens as well as collegial and friendly manners
- Residence in the regional area of the city of Strausberg is desirable

Our offer

- An open-ended employment contract at the earliest possible date with a weekly working time of 39 hours.
- Remuneration in pay group E 5 TVöD
- 30 days annual leave and paid leave on 24 December and 31 December
- Company pension scheme (ZVK), annual special payment and the possibility of a performance bonus or participation in an alternative remuneration incentive system in accordance with § 18a TVöD in the form of a voucher system
