About our town:
The town of Bad König, with just under 10,000 inhabitants, is located in the beautiful natural landscape of the Odenwald and has a good infrastructure (daycare centres, primary and secondary schools, doctors, shops). Bad König is conveniently located on the B45 motorway and has good connections to the Rhine-Main region via two train stations.

These tasks await you:

- Technical examination and processing of construction projects and plans, taking into account nature conservation, water-related and energy-related concerns
- Preparation of nature conservation statements, impact and compensation balances and coordination of compensation and replacement measures
- Supervision and coordination of water conservation, renaturation and bank protection measures; Examination of water law issues in cooperation with the relevant authorities
- Examination and technical support of wind power and energy projects with regard to species protection, landscape, impact assessment and compensation measures
- Participation in municipal heat planning, technical integration of environmental and nature conservation aspects, coordination with energy concepts and climate adaptation measures
- Preparation of documents for political committees and correspondence with authorities; Participation in funding applications and project documentation
- Maintenance of GIS and plan inventories; creation and revision of technical plans as well as simple construction drawing activities for the preparation of documents for approvals and execution
- Participation in site visits, inspections, public discussions and technical committee meetings; cooperation with internal specialist offices, external offices and associations

Requirement profile:

- Completed training or studies in a relevant field, e.g.B. Environmental sciences, landscape or aquatic ecology, forestry or agricultural sciences, biology, construction/environmental technician, draughtsman or a comparable qualification
- Knowledge of nature conservation law, hydrology, intervention and compensation law and species protection assessments is desirable
- Basic knowledge or interest in energy industry issues (wind power, municipal heat planning, heat supply concepts) as well as in the legal integration of these topics
- Confident handling of GIS (e.g. QGIS/ArcGIS) and MS Office
- Structured, independent and solution-orientated way of working as well as team and communication skills
- Willingness to work in the field, in the specialist area of water/landscape construction, environmental planning offices or energy projects is an advantage
- Career changers (m/f/d) with relevant professional experience are welcome
