THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:
- Analysing technical progress with regard to sensor technology and data networking in the field of Industry 4.0 (accompanying development)
- Determine possible technology transfers to livestock farming
- Determine and consider relevant norms, standards
- Plan, carry out and evaluate series of tests to answer various questions
- Provide and commission functional models
- Test housings under stable conditions
- Carry out tests and reference measurements to validate the functional models
- Define functional models for product development (use on the animal, on the machine and for operation by employees)
- Writing and publishing articles in peer-reviewed international journals
- Participating in national and international conferences and presenting the specialist field
- Carrying out public relations and transfer work for scientific activities

WHAT MAKES YOU SUITABLE FOR US:
- completed scientific university degree (state examination, diploma, master's degree or comparable degree) in agricultural sciences, mechanical engineering, computer science and related disciplines with preferably good results
- a completed doctorate in the field of agricultural sciences, computer science, bioinformatics is desirable, Mechanical engineering
- sound knowledge in the field of sensor technology / AI
- sound knowledge in the statistical evaluation of research results
- minimum physical fitness for working with live animals in the real laboratory
- very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
- car driving licence (class B)
- independent way of working, flexibility with regard to working hours and workplace, sense of responsibility and above-average motivation as well as willingness to work in a team
