Job description
The Volkstheater Rostock, with its four sections of music theatre, drama, dance theatre and concert as well as numerous in-house productions, is a centre of cultural life in our university and Hanseatic city. The popular annual summer theatre in a former shipyard hall also attracts numerous visitors from far beyond Rostock's city limits. In a few years, a new and ultra-modern theatre building will be completed in the centre of the Hanseatic city.
The working environment alone makes the job of a theatre dresser very interesting. The day-to-day work is varied, requires prudence and collegial cooperation. The insight into the world of stagecraft is exciting and some performances with their moves are challenging. Your tasks include:
- Preparing and setting up the costumes required for the performance in the dressing rooms
- Supporting the performers during the processions: Assistance with dressing/dressing before the performance, during the performance, e.g. during quick changes next to the stage, as well as after the performance
- Preparation and care of the costumes by washing, cleaning, checking, repairing, ironing
- Documentation and updating of the costume lists, as well as the performance procedures
Qualifications:
of advantage are:
- Vocational training or professional experience in the textile sector, e.g. tailoring, dry cleaning, housekeeping, housekeeping

The employment relationship is based on the regulations of the TVöD.
