Job description
For a retirement successor, we are looking for a seasonal reinforcement for the water maintenance area in the coming main season (September/October 2026 up to and including February/March 2027) and, depending on requirements, also in the following main seasons a
hand scraper/tractor driver (m/f/d)
This is a temporary seasonal position. The average weekly working time is 39 hours.
The core task of the association is water maintenance, which is carried out almost entirely on its own and mainly using large equipment (excavator with mowing basket). In some areas (especially in confined conditions), the use of manual clearers is essential. This work is carried out in the main season (from September to March). Support as a tractor driver is also required in the logging crew.
Due to peak workloads in the coming main season, seasonal support for our hand crews is required. Support from the association is also expected to be necessary in the following seasons. However, a binding commitment in this regard is not possible at this time.
The team at the building yard currently consists of 18 employees from the areas of hand scrapers, machine operators and the workshop. A well-equipped fleet of machines and vehicles is available to complete the tasks (e.g. excavators, tractors and various attachments, and double-cab transporters).
Your tasks:
- Care and maintenance of the association's waters (esp. Maintenance of the association's watercourses (especially hand ditches)
- Wood maintenance on the association's watercourses with chainsaws and pruners
- Tractor driving for all watercourse maintenance tasks (especially logging)
- Cleaning of culverts and gratings
- Removal of drainage obstacles
- Securing of bank areas and embankments
- Maintenance work on the association's structural facilities (especially Pumping stations)
- Participation in civil engineering and hydraulic engineering measures
- Maintenance and care of the vehicles, machines and equipment used
Your profile:
- Manual skills in handling machines and equipment for water maintenance
- Reliability, diligence and ability to work in a team
- Physical resilience for work in difficult terrain
- Possession of a driving licence category B, BE and T (desirable C and CE)
- The ability to operate chainsaws/scythes is desirable
- Successfully completed training in a construction-related/related trade is desirable
